Garantiefonds Hochschule

With GF-H funding all the way to a university degree

If you want to study in Germany, you generally need German language skills at the C1 level of the GER. You can acquire proof of language proficiency through the TestDaF, the telc C1 Hochschule examination and the DSH. To get there, German courses, preparatory measures and orientation steps are necessary. Young immigrants often ask themselves the question: Where can I get support? Are there opportunities for support so that the path to university is successful? The ISK Hannover cooperates with the Bildungsberatung Garantiefonds Hochschule and thus offers various options.

Bildungsberatung Garantiefonds Hochschule

The Bildungsberatung Garantiefonds Hochschule supports young immigrants in preparing for higher education studies in Germany. Refugees, late repatriates and Jewish migrants can apply to the GF-H educational counselling service for funding in accordance with the Guidelines for the Guarantee Fund for Higher Education (RL-GF-H) up to the age of 30. In this way, orientation can succeed and new educational paths can be planned. Preparatory German courses and intensive courses play an important role in this. The ISK is therefore in close contact with the educational counselling service. Since 2022, numerous participants have studied in the intensive courses and preparatory courses at the ISK and received funding under the University Guarantee Fund. In addition, counselling is offered on questions of recognition of foreign training and study qualifications and on orientation towards a suitable field of study.

During the entire funding period, a contact person from the ISK and the Caritas educational counselling service will be available to provide you with advice and support. In this way, you will receive support whenever you need it. We have collected testimonials from our GF-H grantees on our Instagram channel and our homepage!
